1-1 SUPPORT

YOU'VE NEVER SEEN A NUTRITIONIST LIKE ME

You're fed up not being heard, understood and accommodated.

You've seen doctors, nutritionists, therapists and you're still seeking answers.

You don't need another lazy printout, generalised (harmful) statement to cut out carbs or a side of weight stigma, gender bias and healthcare trauma.

You want to be cared for.

You need someone who takes the time to understand your unique and complex history, who you are, what's come before and works with you to achieve your food and health goals.

HI, I'M NADIA (SHE/HER)

I believe that eating can be easy and that when women have food and body freedom, they live more fulfilling lives that make the world better.

Early in my professional training, I saw the heartbreaking impact of the limited and problematic way we talk about food.

As a nutritionist in private practice, I knew working in the traditional way wasn't going to help.

If you want eating to work for you, it has to work for you.

I'm on a mission to show you how to have food and body freedom - step by step.

I offer neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ friendly, gender inclusive and weight-neutral support.

All are welcome.

What can you help me with?

My specialty includes but is not limited to:

  • eating concerns, disordered eating and eating disorders
  • PCOS
  • diabetes
  • peri-menopausal support
  • chronic disease prevention

If what you're struggling with is not listed, I may be able to support you and suggest you get in touch if you think we'd be a good fit.

How much are sessions?

$220 AUD

If you're paying in another currency, you'll be charged in your local currency.

How long are the sessions?

1-1 sessions are 50 minutes.

There is also pre-session and post-session review work that you don't see and is imperative to your support.

How do the sessions work?

Before we meet (virtually), you'll complete a form sharing some basics with me and I'll review that before our first session so I'm up to date on your experience.

Each session is an opportunity to be heard, to share with me what's going on for you and for us together to map out your next steps in order to achieve your goals.

How many sessions will I need?

How long is a piece of string? 🧵😉

Support is highly individualised and the amount of sessions you will need is impacted by what you're currently navigating, the complexity of your condition(s), the type of support you've had before, the support system you have; including your care team; and what your goals are.

It could be that you will benefit immensely from a handful of sessions to establish the plan that's right for you and where we fine tune it together.

Can I claim the sessions on insurance or Medicare?

As an Accredited Practising Clinical Nutritionist, my virtual 1-1 sessions are eligible for private health rebate in Australia.

Currently (2024) this includes HBF, AHM, GU Health and NIB. You'll need to confirm your level of coverage directly with your insurer and that they cover 'telehealth nutrition' services.

Currently nutrition - an established allied health profession - is not incorporated by Medicare. Your GP can however refer you to me for managing/preventing your chronic health condition.

Do you work with NDIS clients?

Yes, proudly.

If you have a self-managed plan, my services will fall under 'capacity building - improved daily living.'

"Nadia was the first person to hear me. Even after countless psychology sessions, no one heard me like she did. No one saw me like she did.  I had tried and tried and hadn't found what I needed with my eating disorder support, until Nadia. I can't thank her enough and am eternally grateful to her as I now have a head filled with things other than food and body thoughts. It's the life I never knew I could have and it's glorious."

ELOISE

"I always saw myself in a negative light and was in a constant toxic cycle with food. After working with Nadia, I feel free. Food doesn't take as much brain space, I feel healthier than ever and am in a much more positive place. She gave me the space to be totally raw and honest without any judgement. She would provide different viewpoints that challenged my thinking and totally opened up my perspective so I could get out of the cycle I was in. We always had a laugh, she always told me it would be ok and it always was. Whenever there was a setback, there was only ever care from her, everyone should meet and work with Nadia – it will change their lives."

RACHEL

"As a fat, full-time teacher with ADHD and history of disordered eating, the idea of preparing a meal was way too overwhelming before working with Nadia and learning tools that actually work for me. I was struggling with accepting weight gain after pregnancy and Nadia held space for my fears without judgement, helping me work through the shame I felt. Nadia is gentle, calming, so knowledgeable and kind in her approach. She knows the right questions to ask, and always leaves room for your personal experiences. As someone without first-hand experience of the marginalisation that fat bodies face, she acknowledges the ways in which this limits her perspective, whilst actively and passionately speaking up for us in spaces where we're often not heard. I couldn't recommend her enough and I'll always be so grateful for the time we shared together!

MY APPROACH

My approach to your wellbeing is rooted in social justice values and our collective liberation as humans living in a deeply unjust society.

I work from a decolonised, intersectional feminist, non-hierarchical, trauma-informed, gender-affirming, neuro-affirming and weight-inclusive lens when considering food, your body and your health.

I utilise intuitive eating, body trust, polyvagal theory, acceptance and commitment therapy.

Your whole-person wellbeing will be at the forefront of our work together.

All are welcome. Your experience is the one that matters and I look forward to meeting you.
