Chocolate Hazelnut Energy Balls

  • 1 cup roasted hazelnuts
  • ½ cup raw walnuts
  • ⅓ cup desiccated coconut
  • 10 pitted Medjool dates
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 3 tsp water
  1. Process nuts in a food processor until crumb-like
  2. Pit dates
  3. Add all remaining ingredients to the food processor
  4. Process until the mixture combines together in a ball-like clump
  5. Should you require more water, add slowly ½ tsp at a time
  6. Once combined, remove blade from the processor for safety
  7. Roll into 21 small balls
  8. Refrigerate in an airtight container for 7 days or store in the freezer for up to 3 months
Although perfect as they are, if you're into an extra step, you can roll these balls in anything you like i.e. desiccated coconut or chopped nuts. A sprinkling of cacao (like in these photos) works a treat too!
