There's just something about rose.
The smell. The look. The idea even, if I dare to say so.
And it's in this past week that I've rediscovered all of those truths.
You see, I'm not the kind of person with a bathroom vanity or kitchen pantry full of unknown items from 2007.
I am however the kind of person who pretty much knows the entire contents of both areas at any given time.
Yep. That's me. And you think I'm a little strange for it, I'm OK with that.
So back to the roses...
Although usually being completely on top of the contents of my kitchen pantry, this week I re-discovered something very exciting. Something I'd entirely forgotten that I had.
A bottle of magnificent, floral and exotic, rosewater.
And so naturally, I poured it into the smoothie I was about to blend together.
The result?
Well that you're reading this blog post says it all no?
Yum. Yum. Absolute yum.
The rosewater perfectly complements the chocolate, coconut and berry flavours of this smoothie, whilst the almond butter lends a satisfying and textural thickening that I've come to adore.
Essentially rose + milk = awesome.
This smoothie makes for a delightful breakfast, snack, (or lunch and dinner too!). It comes with quality carbohydrates, fats and protein - exactly what we want in a complete meal.
Even hubby loves this one... So don't be afraid to share it with the boys in your life too.
